A granddaughter delves into the relationship with her grandfather, a retired police officer who loves music, composing an animated mosaic of affections, doubts, and of lived, told and imagined memories.
"Guaracy" is a short film that explores the plasticity of stop motion animation to revisit the grandfather's house, excavate past events and imagine unknown moments in his life.
Using the taste for the arts shared by grandfather and granddaughter (he, a retired policeman who loves music, she, an artist), the film talks about love, the irreplaceable presence and absence of a loved one, mourning, memory and its fictional nature, and also art as a means of creating oneself, one's identity and the bonds with those we love.
